Tonight was the second time I caught Frances Ruffelle (the original Eponine) at The Green Room 42 and she is nothing short of spectacular.
If Bjork and Yoko Ono had an uber-talented baby, it would be Frances Ruffelle.
I don't know anything about her background or her story, but why has this incredibly talented woman only been on Broadway once?
From standards to Piaf to Judy Garland to Kurt Weill, you have no idea what's coming next, but the excitement she brings to performing has me hopeful she might be back on the boards one of these days.
Tonight's guests were Hugh Panaro, Mary Ann Tripplett and Craig Bierko (last time Wayne Wilcox was there, too).
GreenRoom42 is a great space with no minimum and pretty affordable tickets. Sadly, there were many empty seats. Do yourself a favor and go.
