Does anyone know what if anything is happening with plans for the Public Theater's presentation of "The Visit" with Frank Langella and Chita Rivera? I had heard it was shelved...can anyone confirm or deny?
Anxious to see Langella again after his hilarious turn in "Fortune's Fool".
I fell in love with Frank Langella in "Fortune's Fool." I want to see him in ANYTHING now.

I would watch Mr. Langella read a can of soup. And I would be happy.

The production lost outside it's enhancement money and the Public has had to cancel or at least postpone the production.
Kander and Ebb tried to convince Roundabout to pick up the show for spring (instead of Assassins) but Roundabout opted for Sondheim over Kander and Ebb.
As the saying goes, "We shall see."

Thanks for the info, SueleenGay. What amazing news! It's been way too long since a McNally play, and this is exciting casting.
"Full Frontal Nudity — about three American tourists who are urged by an Italian guide to bask in the beauty of Michelangelo's "David" —
...giving the playright yet annother oppertunity to rhapsodise about the beauty of the foreskin.
Diary of a Mad Housewife was such a cool movie. I can still hear RIchard Benjamin calling his wife Tina, Teeeeeeen.
