I am probably leaving myself wide open but here goes. I know BroadwayGuy hates my guts. Somehow I will not lose sleep over this. I would likeyou to answer 2 questions for me.

I realize many people disagree with Bush's policies on everything. More Americans appear to agree with him ( according to recent polls). I know , according to Broadwayguys thinking, everyone who supports Bush is a racist & homophobe. That would make a majority of Americans racists & homophobes in the country.I know what his thinking is but I am interested in yours

Question # 1

What proof do have that Bush is a racist ? Name calling is easy but I am interested as to why Bush is there. Forget his foreign policy. Why is he on your list as a racist. I know Rocker is a blithering idiot who put his foot in his mouth & wrecked his career in the process.If not for his left arm, he wolud have spent his life next to Goober in the pea patch.Please explain to me why he (Bush) gets this title from you.

Question # 2

Eminem is obviously a racist & a homophobe. How than do you explain Elton John sharing a stage with him ? This really got me & I never understood it. Had any Republican or any politician ( for that matter) appeared on stage with him (Eminem) they would have (rightly) been tarred & feathered. Why did Elton John appear to get a free pass on this one?

All the anti Bushies out there need to realize that name calling (racists/homophobes etc) makes you no better than those who you label as racists & homophobes. You also may need to be with him through 2008 . It is a possiblity so you may need to get used to the idea.

By the way, racism cuts both ways.We have a flat out racist on the city council( in NYC) called Charles Barron who wants to "slap white people upside the head" . No one says a word. Why? We have that well known racial arsonist The Reverend Al Sharpton. It goes both ways . I am sorry to bring religion into this but "Let he who is without sin cast the first stone"

You cannot accuse one person or group of persons of racism while ignoring what another group says & does. I know I will get blasted & have no intention of posting again on this topic. I was just curious why he gets this label from you Dollypop

Politics are always an interesting topic to discuss, but are rarely without controversy of some sort. A couple of people have e-mailed me asking if these sort of "off-topic" things are valid to discuss, and I think that they are. We have a wonderfully diverse (and growing rapidly) group of rabid theater fans here who can provide interesting cross-section type commentary on non-theater issues as well as theatrical ones. Just as long as we all respect one another's rights to our opinions.

On topic... Personally, I don't think that George Bush is a racist... I think that the Republican party did some fairly nasty things in Florida and elsewhere disenfranchising voters, many African-American. I don't think that's because of their skin color though, but just because of the statistics that show them to tend to vote Democrat. Ah, politics.

I hate to say this Mr. Roxy, as I have no personal beef with you, but I am smelling a little bit of projection in your last post.

You are accusing BroadwayGuy of being bitter and hateful, yet I sense a lot of anger and frustration in some of the postings that you start - not necessarily in just your responses when people upset you.

Also, I take some offense to your comment to BG to "go sit on a fire hydrant" if he doesn't like what you have to say. Sounds a little bit homophobic.

Maybe it's just me. I am not trying to get overly involved where perhaps I should not, but maybe we should all look a little inwardly before we start throwing stones.

Sorry if I offended you. This is merely a "heads up".
