It's on Broadway.com I can't find the link. It's the main headline so look there. Very sad, I'm in mourning.

Wow, how sad. Broadway just lost a true legend. My sympathy to his family.

This is so sad! Ebb was an incredible man. Cabaret and Chicago and all his other works are amazing.

Let him rest in peace. My prayers are with him and his family.

I have my books and my poetry to protect me...

ebb was so talented!!! broadway wouldn't be the same without his work!!! he'll never be forgotten!!

Wow. An incredible talent and a huge contributor to the Broadway and Jazz worlds. So many standards. And he helped to bring back movie musicals. RIP Fred.

Oh my gosh. . . This is horrible. Fred Ebb was my favorite lyricist. His work got me into all things Broadway. This is truly a sad day.

The breadth of work that Fred Ebb produced is truly amazing. I suspect there are many people who only think of him from Chicago and maybe Cabaret, but those shows only scratch the surface.

The irony for me is that I'm going to see a concert staging of 70, Girls, 70 this afternoon. It will take on more meaning now.

Pass it on - Take a kid to a show.

I hope he'll get some recognition at Broadway on Broadway. Especially since one of the hosts just started in one of Ebb's shows.

I'm sure something will be done at CHICAGO today.

Our theatre actually has done some of Kander & Ebb's "lesser known" words - FLORA THE RED MENACE, 70 GIRLS 70, and THE RINK. I actually spoke with John Kander on the phone on several occasions (regarding cuts and added songs for the "revised" versions of these shows), but never any contact with Mr. Ebb.

My thoughts are with Mr. Ebb's family, Mr. Kander and all the many performers who's lives and careers were indelibly linked to their work, such as Liza Minelli, Chita Rivera, Joel Grey and even the lady in the picture to the left.

One of the greatest. Very sad, even if I had problems with his personality, he was a great talent.

I just have one question. Did he "Go like Elsie?"

This truly is devestating. Ebb (along with Kander) was definitely a Broadway legend, right up there with R&H and Sondheim. He will be sorely missed. Nothing can fill the void that's now left.
