In thinking about it some more, I am a bit mystified that the two shows trying this out are not typical matinee-crowd shows. I think this would be a smart thing especially for the Disney shows and the like.
		     			its a brillant idea - and hope it encourages other producers and artists to mix it up a little bit in terms of performance times... 
 
i love the idea of having a friday matinee, a friday evening, a saturday matinee - and perhaps a sunday evening performance (and not all shows need follow this schedule) 
 
it would be a considerable bonus to those of us that have summer fridays as well... 
 
i was in the city right before labor day weekend this year and had a monday night free - literally besides Mamma Mia and maybe Phantom or some such there was NOTHING playing...glad to see that changed when the Fall season started...If Im not mistaken, I think I saw Driving Miss Daisy on a Monday night. 
 
		     				
		     					
		     			I love the idea of a Friday mat.   
 
People come to NY for the weekend when they're on vacation.
