Seating!
I got tickets to this early - before seating design was created. I hope I made the right choice. I a now what looks like to be in the first row of the Orchestra. Will I miss everything by looking up the whole time? Looks like on stage seating is well sold the date I am going. What to do? It pains me to spend money on theater tickets that are expensive with an obstructed view.

Kip Williams’ THE MAIDS added to St. Ann’s season Mar 3 2026, 09:10:33 AM
Saw it at Donmar this Fall. Never had seen or read THE MAIDS so had almost no clue what I was walking into. This is Theatrical Excellence. Acting, set design, projections, direction. Get a ticket - this is a must see.

Amadeus - Pasadena Playhouse Feb 22 2026, 11:34:49 AM
If you find yourself anywhere near Southern California make time to see AMADEUS. Jefferson Mays is giving a performance for the ages. This is an exquisite production. Performances across the board are excellent and the taut direction allows for Jefferson to fully dive into Sallerari.
Also, the best set design I have ever seen in a production in LA area in my lifetime. Sumptuous .
Recommend sitting as close as possible if one can.

EVERY BRILLIANT THING Previews Feb 22 2026, 11:26:08 AM
After seeing the video of the curtain call from yesterday's show, I just found an on stage ticket (that was half the price of Orchestra in the theater) and HAD to pick it up. This play is so uniquely special and yeah it's cool to sit on stage.
Good job to the marketing folks at EBT. It got me to purchase a ticket - and thank you for making it a 5pm show so I can see other things...keeping that evening slot open

EVERY BRILLIANT THING Previews Feb 21 2026, 12:49:06 AM
This play is really special. Have seen two productions; Geffen Playhouse with the ever charming Daniel K. Issac and the most recent production in London with the irresistible Minnie Driver. Excited for folks that get to see it for their first time.
For those that have seen, what is the stage seating experience like? Are you too close? Seeing it at Soho Place and The Geffen's small theater invited a sense of intimacy that I think is integral to the sho

Katie Holmes - Hedda Gabler Feb 17 2026, 01:38:25 PM
bruzson said: "We saw it last week before opening night. The Globe commissioned a platform translation upon which the new text was built. Holmes also had a movement coach, which I think led to excessive hand gestures but otherwise she was fine. The rest of the cast was stellar. My big problem with Hedda is that the motivation for her behavior and self-destruction was not made clear -- she was just on a rampage, which doesn't make for a great dramatic outing. But it's sorta wo

Katie Holmes - Hedda Gabler Feb 17 2026, 09:45:42 AM
Katie Holmes is going an excellent performance, as is the rest of this talented cast. Was able to see the show this past weekend and wanted to process a bit more before sharing any thoughts. I have never read or see Hedda Gabler so I did not know much about the show and found genuine surprise of the story and was truly entertained by this tight 90 min show. Alex Hurt is also so excellent. Having seen him in a few shows "Dada Woof Papa Hot' and "Patriots&

March trip - what do I need to get in advance? Feb 8 2026, 07:25:04 PM
For RAGTIME, highly recommend avoiding the front row at Vivian Beaumont. I had the piano in front of me for start and end of act one

Katie Holmes - Hedda Gabler Feb 8 2026, 07:23:24 PM
Has anyone caught this yet at Old Globe in San Diego? I can't quite tell if it's a modern adaption or not - curious and going to check it regardless.
Also while there La Jolla Playhouse has Julia written by Claudia Sheer - any one catch that either?

Musical adaptation of THE LOST BOYS. Jan 23 2026, 01:16:47 PM
Anastasia_Beaverhausen said: "I'm just tired of the $300 orchestra seats and the big chunk of all center and aisle seats that aren't even on sale yet. Most show are doing this now and it's annoying. I'll wait for a good code, or TKTS, and I'm sure I'll get something. Glad to know a code should come out next month, thanks!"
Looking forward to this show and genuinely, without any snark, want to know WHY seats, wide swath of seats are being held

OEDIPUS Reviews Nov 25 2025, 09:15:34 AM
A Must See - do whatever you can to grab a ticket - and the closer to the stage the better.
With that being said, Ms. Manville was none too pleased with folks filming the curtain call. She gestured quite strongly for those two folks to put their iPhones down during bows. And the looks she was giving one particular gentlemen as the final curtain fell, daggers.
An incredible, riveting piece of theater that MUST be seen.

I stand corrected. I totally missed the casting, Ali! Hell yeah.
