I know I started a thread on this a while back for Phantom, but I just thought a centered list of every theatre's views from the front row could help with future ticket buying. For example, how is it for Hair?

Nope, thankfully. How good/ bad is the view though? Is the stage high up?
Sat front row @ Hair this afternoon. It was great!
not bad, but i hate first row generally all theatre.
Lunt-Fontane - WAY too close. I had to crane my neck to see over the pit.
Brooks Atkinson - a blast! I definitely recommend front row at this theatre.
Westside Theatre Upstairs - great fun. Not a bad view at all.
Beumont - I sat second row on the right here but I doubt how the front row could be any less great than the second. Awesome view.
Front row seating is great at: The Richard Rodgers, Golden, Gershwin, Lyceum, Marquis, Helen Hayes, Ambassador, Hilton, Nederlander, Walter Kerr and Broadhurst Theatres
Decent, but a little obstructed at: Hirschfeld, Neil Simon, St. James, and Palace Theatres
And absolutely horrible at The Broadway Theatre, at least on the sides where I sat.
It all depends on the production too and their utilization of the stage/sets. For some of those theaters, I saw productions that have closed from the front row but not their new inhabitants. For example, Legally Blonde was fine from the front row, but not sure how a show like West Side Story would be with its heavy dancing focus. If a show has dancing, I'd like to see feet.

I sat either front or 2nd row at the Gershwin,Broadhurst,Booth and thought it was great.
Sat 4th row at the Palace and thought the stage was so high. I had such a neckache by the end of the show I wanted to hurt someone.
Sat 7th row at the Majestic and it was perfect.
Brooks Atkinson: For ROA it was AWESOME, stage was not too high at all. I was in the first row in the right orchestra and it was a little cramped, but it's hard to complain when your knee is against the stage lol
Hirschfeld: Great seats especially because of the lack of orchestra pit (Plus HAIR makes front row even more of an experience)
Gershwin: Seems a little high and Wicked is a big production that is best viewed about 5-10 rows back to get a full view of everything.

There's a TON of leg room center stage front row and with the lack of a pit it's like you're part of the action. I once got cigarette ashes on my pants when an actor flicked his cigarette on stage lol
Yeah, from what I saw center orchestra had more leg room. I was right in front of the strip club door where the stage sort of juts out and the front row there only has two seats lol It was by no means uncomfortable but I'm about 5' 10' so a taller person might feel a little tight (but its worth it...especially having the dancers in your face haha)
