Sorry if there's a thread on this already - I searched and couldn't find one. Now that the OBC is out, can someone tell me whether it's a completely new recording with all new renditions of the songs, or if it includes a mix of the new and the old?
I ask because I somehow lost my Off-Broadway cast album and I am so upset, since it was so perfect and now it's out of print.

It's a mix.
of course it has Lucas, but the only song of note that was cut is "Call Me Al"
To me they are very comparable.

And all the songs have the same orchestrations (as far as I can tell).
I think you'll find it an equal recording.

Yes, they just updated a few changes that were not in the Off-Broadway album and re-recorded all of Medium-Allison's songs with Emily Skeggs.
