For those who have gone, is the stage door area set up inside like someone said on the previews thread, or is it on the outside like it is traditionally done. If it is inside, please elaborate and who has been coming out? Thank you.
There is no "stage door" set up. Everyone just leaves through either side of the escalators in the lobby.

Right, but where do the fans wait? Someone on the previews thread said that inside the lobby the people were waiting and that ropes where being used instead of barricades. I was asking if that still stands, because the only other show I've stage doored at Circle in the Square, The River I waited outside the front door with metal barricades set up. Thank you.
When I saw it a couple weeks ago (post-previews but pre-Tonys), there was no formal set-up at all. Audience members just milled about the lobby -- there was no set area, no ropes or anything -- and the whole cast left that way, too.
Most of them seemed more than happy to stop & chat for a bit -- but there weren't a lot of us hanging about, either. I expect that may have changed by now.
Inside or outside, it doesn't really matter since they leave through the main doors anyways. But the staff doesn't mind people waiting inside.
