Yay!! A cast recording! I was hoping.

They/them. "Get up the nerve to be all you deserve to be."

They must have recorded it long ago, since Sheridan is now in her alcoholic rest.

I hope not. The production is rather unattractive and uninspired, and its leading lady so miscast and underwhelming. Vocally she's not thrilling at all, the acting basic and she just does not look the part at all.

The book needs to be rewritten for it to pick pace and for the jokes to be remotely funny.

Though I didn't like Sheridan Smith, I think the bad mouthing about whatever problems she has is completely out of line. Her dad is diagnosed and is probably dying of cancer, as did her brother when he was 18. If I were in her shoes I probably would struggle with work as well. The fact that she realized she cannot continue and needs time off is a virtue.

I personally would love to see Lady Gaga make her debut in this.

If it does next season, there will be Dolly and Funny Girl in the same season.  The last time that happened was the first time it happened.

As would I, but with a new pop album due to be out by the end of the year, she'll likely be booked up for the next two years or so. In the past, she has toured pretty extensively to promote her albums. Not to mention, I believe she's returning to American Horror Story next season as well.

With that said, a stage appearance would fit incredibly well into the new narrative she's been weaving to solidify herself as a true star in every sense of the word. And even if she were available for next season, I think her handlers have proven themselves in the past year to be far too smart to let her go up against the Divine Miss M for major awards. Appearing on Broadway during a season where she can monopolize the media's attention like Bette surely will in the spring would be the savviest move, in my opinion.

Many people have been saying for a while, though, that they'd love to see her in this! And with all of that in mind, I'm sure that if she were on board they wouldn't mind waiting a few years until the time was right.
