Hey I'm looking for fall-down funny duets that could be sung by a man and a woman. If possible, I'd like to stay away from mainstream Broadway, but all suggestions are welcome. New and old, rare and well-known. I NEED IDEAS! My AIM is Superben444. If you wanna contact me that way too.

OK, you can't get more mainstream, but "Love is My Legs" from DRS is the funniest duet on Broadway today. C'mon! "Feetbones of love"??

Sorry for not really helping...

"The Song That Goes Like This"
~Spamalot
"Can You Feel The Pain Tonight"
~Forbidden Broadway's Spoof on "Can You Feel The Love Tonight"
Actually, I'd highly recommend checking out Forbidden Broadway spoofs in general

What venue will these songs be performed at? You said you were trying to stay away from mainstream Broadway so I am assuming that the audience will not be familiar with musicals. Although "Love is my Legs", "The Song that Goes Like This", and the Forbidden Broadway stuff IS hilarious...the audience may not be able to follow the jokes if they are not familiar with the plots of the shows or the shows/performers they are spoofing. If this is the case, the song would need to be able to stand alone and not be dependent on plot or with someone being familiar with the source material to find it funny. Also, there should be sheet music available so it could be performed (to my knowledge there is no DRS or SPAMALOT books available yet although I wish they would hurry up and come out!). I still vote for "Therapy"---the song is funny and can stand on its own. I will try to come up with a few more ideas!

Definitely agree with Therapy, very funny. Humming from Carnival can work if done correctly. It's pretty funny.

EDIT: How about Schadenfreude from Avenue Q. It is technically MF but will depend on the voices of those singing. A little explicit too. But it could work.

EDIT 2: The Doctor Is In from Charlie Brown. My New Philosophy also from Charlie Brown is MF too...showcases the girl more then the guy. But the song is hilarious.

Lets Call the Whole thing Off - Shall We Dance
Marriage Tango - I love you you're perfect now change ( a lil edgy)
You're Just in Love(I wonder Why) - Call Me Madame (I've heard a medly of this song and Anything you Can do.. I think Mac Huff makes it..not sure)

You could do a medly of Puttin on the Ritz and Diamonds are a Girl's best friend. That would be cute.

If I think of more...I'll post.

Holy bejeezus! I didn't expect such an enthusiastic response! Thanks so much!

This is actually for the senior cabaret at the University of the Arts. So the audience is quite fluent in musical theater. Actually, that's why we wanted to stay away from mainstream contemporary Broadway, because let's face it, as great a song as Shaudenwhatsahoozits is, there are equally good songs that people HAVEN'T actually heard 10,000 times. I'll definitely look at your suggestions. Thanks so much!

oh oh oh!! i just thought of an absolutely great and amazing one! it's by musical theatre composers but it's not heard a million times.

it's called "nothing i wouldn't do" by Heisler and Goldrich. Sherie Rene Scott sang it with Billy Porter. there used to be a video clip of it on broadway.com but i can't find it. but anyway, it's not hard music to learn on your own.

i'm dying to perform this sometime. i think it's a great song. it's cute but funny at the same time. and it's still tasteful. it sounds perfect for what you're doing! check it out! it's available from the H&G website
