Funny Thing About Broadway Ticket Lottos

I know lottos are random and it doesn't matter what time you get in line...as long as you have your name in the bin by a certain time. But I've noticed that every time I do a lotto, it's the people in front of me, in back of me, or standing very close to me who win. Does anyone else have the same problem?

When I won the WICKED lottery, the only reason was because someone who won couldn't take the ticket. They drew again.
It truly is the luck of the draw.
The lottery is a neat thing.

Posted: 6/28/06 at 8:32pmi lost the wicked lotto (which i forgot was lotto so my friend and i were there, in the snow like an hour and a half early) but still won since we wisely enlisted a friend to put her name in too, and yes, the ppl on both sides of me won

Posted: 6/28/06 at 8:38pmTo me, it always seems like a group wins. When I was doing the Wicked Lotto (and lost) there was this group of young adults and it seemes like most of the people from their group was standing on the winning line. Then they, as did I, went over to Spelling Bee, which was not very full at all, and won some more! Some people have all the luck...

Posted: 6/28/06 at 8:40pmI've only done lotto once, and won. So I can't help you out there. It all depends on the lotto your doing. Wicked it probobly the hardest to win. And Hairspray is one of the easiest.

I am a lottery junkie and defintley notice what you are saying. The most recent time I did the Wicked lotto in NYC, the person in front, to the left, to the right, and behind us won, in that order! Thank goodness we won also. It took 7 tries at Wicked but I finally won!
I also see what you are saying about large groups. At the Drowsy Lotto, there was a group of about 8 people and 4 of them won, allowing all 8 to see the show! It was crazy!
There is no real way to make sure you win. It is based on true luck. Also, it doesnt hurt to know my special lotto secret but hey. Haha

Hmm...I noticed the group thing too. A family of 4 went to see Wicked in Boston...the daughter drew all the names, and suprisingly, the family won. I didn't win the lotto in Boston EXCEPT for the day I went with someone...and we both won, so I didn't need the single ticket they drew.

Can you?

Posted: 7/23/06 at 1:17pmI can't win the easy lottos. I've won Wicked at least 4 times and I've lost every time with Avenue Q and whenever I play there are like less than 20 people there.

The Rent lotto, I've always thought, is pretty easy to win. Although it's probably harder now, with all the tourists coming in.
*sigh* I've noticed groups winning, as well. AND everyone around me winning.
