Is anyone familliar with the unbelievably talented (non-musical) actress Elizabeth Marvel? She's the best! I think she's the next Patricia Clarkson.

Loiuse Pitre and Tina Maddigan, unfournately only Louise was nonmineed, Sara Guttelfinger, Tammy Blanchard shes amazing on the Gypsy recording, and maybe Chad Kimball and Linda Mugleston, I would like to see Chad in a human role, when I saw ITW he played a cow, but he was hilarious. Also agree on Laura Benanti, maybe Laura Michelle Kelly for both bway and wst end, Mary Poppins will definetly make her a star.

Yeah...what happened to Elizabeth Marvel? She was getting tons of work about 8 or 9 years ago and was touted as "the next big 'thing'" then she sort of disappeared. What's she up to now? Anybody know?

Clay Aiken. I wouldn't bank on any of the current American "Idols" having *pop* stardom career longevity. And we all know where ex popstars wind up. Can anyone say Aida, or Rent or, or, or?

It says "future", last time I checked, Benanti was a "current" Broadway star.

I don't feel like getting up to look up their names, but the three "street urchins" from Little Shop. They are amazing.
Euan Morton - I do remember reading something about him not being able to stay in the states, but if he does I think he'll go very far.
And as much as I love Michael Cavanaugh, he isn't an actor, so I think that may put some road blocks in his way when he's finished with Movin' Out as far as other Broadway stuff... but who knows.

She (Elizabeth Marvel)was on a TV show with Craig T. Nelson last year, the name of which I cannot remember...it may still be running, for all I know. I know she has a supporting part in the movie of "The Dying Gaul", so we have that to look forward to...but, yes, more theatre, Ms. Marvel, please!

I see huge potential in Deborah Cox currently starring in the title role of "Aida". While I'm not big on recording artists dabbling in musical theatre, she has both the acting skill & singing voice to make the transition beneficial to all parties concerned. After a few misses, John & Rice have their muse. Deborah Cox is Aida!

I'll have to agree with you on that Javero! I've heard some sound clips and can't help but wonder why Deborah didn't immediately follow (or precede) Heather Headley!!
She's easily got one of the most powerful voices around and from what I hear - her acting skills are perfect for musical theater.
I'm sure I'll have much more to say after seeing the show on Saturday!

Good Luck Deb!!
