Since "Don't Stop Believin'" was prerecorded and lip sync'd for the show, does that mean that while Mr. Morrison was only watching the students singing it as he entered the rehearsal room on the show, that his voice may actually be recorded on the song?
What do you think? Do you think the show's producers would have let that Broadway voice go to waste, or would they have deferred adding his voice to the mix for any reason?

I suppose anything is possible, but I doubt it.
However, Matt DID have a song. I saw an edit about two days before it aired (thanks to someone here) that included Matt singing Leaving on a Jet Plane accompanying himself on guitar. (I think that was the song?)

Yes, but unfortunately "Leavin' On a Jet Plane" did not make the aired version of the pilot, though the clip I heard was great.
I was just thinking the harmony on the aired song sounded very good and wondered if he was part of that sound, or if the producers would always keep his voice separate to keep it distinct.
I wonder if there is a list of singers on that song somewhere.
