Four of the five numbers featured on this Tuesday's episode of GLEE originate from the musical WEST SIDE STORY.

The numbers include "A Boy Like That/I Have A Love" (Naya Rivera/Lea Michele), "Tonight" and "One Hand, One Heart" (Darren Criss/Lea Michele), and "America" (Naya Rivera/Jenna Ushkowitz/Mark Salling).

So I guess they're doing the movie version of "America"? I personally prefer the stage version, because it was the first one I heard.

I like your imperturbable perspicacity.

Side-eying that arrangement of "America." It doesn't sound like anyone involved knew how to balance any of the tracks, and I agree, pinoyidol, it would have been better if they did the stage version. Which is too bad, because I think Naya Rivera could have done that song justice if they hadn't butchered the arrangement so terribly.

Yeah, the balance and arrangement is kind of awkward especially for America, but I still REALLY love all the songs :)

Naya is so perfect for Anita, and Lea sounds so beautiful as Maria too! As someone who isn't too crazy about the super legit soprano sound, I really like how Lea kind of blends the soprano and belting.. it's more pleasing to my ears personally

And Lea and Darren sound so beautiful together too.

All in all this is by far my favorite episode of Glee season 3 musically so far. I wish the arrangement for America was better, but... still really enjoyable to me nonetheless!

I don't need a life that's normal. That's way too far away. But something next to normal would be okay. Something next to normal is what I'd like to try. Close enough to normal to get by.

I don't like Lea singing soprano because her upper register isn't that strong. But then I'm a big legit soprano fan.

Darren is terrible vocally as Tony, IMO.

Jimmy, what are you doing here in the middle of the night? It's almost 9 PM!
