I bet it'll extend or become open-ended after it wins Best Play (even though REASONS TO BE PRETTY deserves the award).
They could really get some great actors to take on these roles...thoughts on who you'd cast if one, any, or all of the cast members didn't stick with the show if it extends?

I'd love to see Alfred Molina step in.

Ralph Fiennes and Janet McTeer (reprising West End roles)
Sigourney Weaver
Also, mercury aside, Jeremy Piven would be wonderful in Daniels' role.

Posted: 5/9/09 at 1:05amThis will be a show with ONE KILLER replacement cast, although as of now I can't picture anyone else in the role. HOWEVER I do have a fantasy to see Jane Kazmyric (sp?) in Marcia Gay Hardens role.

Laura Linney came to my mind as an ideal replacement for Marcia Gay Harden when I saw the show. I feel like she'd fit Veronica perfectly.
In terms of Hope Davis's role, Andie MacDowell would be a riot as Annette.
Tonya Pinkins: Then we had a "Lot's Wife" last June that was my personal favorite. I'm still trying to get them to let me sing it at some performance where we get to sing an excerpt that's gone.

Posted: 5/9/09 at 1:17amThey could keep this thing going for years. The cast can get progressively less and less notable, until we've got Joey Buttafuoco and Jenny Jones as one couple and Dennis Rodman and either Jackeé or Wendy Williams as the other.
