Saw the advertisment in the Sunday Times this morning...figured I'd try for one of the cheapo seats (which aren't cheap in reality) for an early preview. They weren't kidding about limited availability....even the week night shows are sold out.

Managed to get a ticket for the first week of August, right before I go away. I'm glad I haven't put much on the credit card this month. I'd have to take out a loan to pay the bill!

Yankeefan- Do you think the playbill, bbox discounts & TDF wont happen for the preview weeks ? I wonder why theyre sold out , huh? I hate to pay full price ticket..I guess a lot of people love grease...

I have the feeling that Grease will be Limited Availability through the end of Max and Laura's contracts. This is going to quickly become the next fan girl show.

I somehow doubt that, unless they reveal a cheap way for fangirls to see it.

If I cannot get it thru TDF for $30.00- forget it !!!

Honestly- I dont know if I will really see it. Im sick & tired of Grease.. Watched the movie a million times, saw the 1994 Broadway Revival, did it in High School, in College too and Regional Theater....and sooo Grease saturated !!!

Oh... this was an awful idea to be revived on Broadway ! I am just looking forward to
"Sunday in the Park..., South Pacific, My Fair Lady (boston try-out) & Huntington's
She Loves Me" . Reviving Grease and Cabaret this season is a little overkill and premature.

Unfortunately, I bit the bullet the last day the TV show aired and bought a cheapo seat ($71.25 plus service fees) for the first preview on July 24th. I had a feeling it would sell well and would not have any discount codes for previews. Sad, but true. I will definitely be writing a review of the first preview after I get home. Hopefully they will offer standing room (as they have in the past at the Brooks Atkinson Theater) so that people will have an inexpensive way to see this show if they so choose to.

Cheapo tix is $ 71.00 dollars ?????? I might just read your reviews !!!

Speaking of premature revival... I wish theyll revive ..."SIDE SHOW" (same year as the
Studio 54's Cabaret so why not ? ) That's the last show before Grey Gardens that I really, really , really love. Actually I missed this in 1998 bec. they close soo fast....but I saw a Boston Production which is so amateurish but the music & lyrics of Henry Krieger is beyond words... I listen to the OBCR for like a million times...How I wish ... I have seen this...

Also I wish they will do more of ...Cole Porter ( but not High Society) Rodgers & Hart musicals.. revival....

I love Stephen Sondheim, but a bit saturated too of his musicals since 2001.
Though I dont mind seing "FOLLIES" again.
