I finally saw it for the first time last night. What an amazing piece and what a marathon show for Ebersole.
I'll be sorry to see it go.

I saw it in December. It was good... I wish I could be as heartbroken as some of you guys are, but it just didn't "break my heart". Not saying it wasn't wonderful... I don't know. I'm more neutral on it than anything.

Every single time I listen to Around the World and Another Winter in a Summer Town, the waterworks start. Just the way Ebersole says little things, "My God"...

Around the World is my favorite song from the show. It's so special to me. THe last line will probably remain my signature for a long time to come. The song leaves the hairs on the back of my neck standing, particularly that line. (The line, IMO, gives us a glimpse into the soul of the character. We know what Edie feels and wants at that moment in the show and she doesn't say a word about that. You just look at her face and hear the undertones and boy is that powerful!)

Ahh, how sucky.

This is far and beyond the best show I've seen.

I'll certainly go on and enjoy other shows, maybe even see shows 3 times like I did for GREY GARDENS, but yeah...GREY GARDENS will always have a special place in my heart.

Too bad I cant listen to the frikkin cd(s) on my iPod come Sunday because its broken and I'm in Europe...eh

..."Who could ever bear to leave?"
