iluvtheatertrash, the person I am referring to is someone she met specifically during the run of THE WEDDING SINGER who continues to be disillusioned enough to believe they are "friends" (and who has crossed personal boundaries with her several times.)

Tonya Pinkins: Then we had a "Lot's Wife" last June that was my personal favorite. I'm still trying to get them to let me sing it at some performance where we get to sing an excerpt that's gone.
Tony Kushner: You can sing it at my funeral.

Best.Thread.Ever.

"Artists are always on the vanguard of change: they give the community a vision."
"Desire comes from the Latin "de sire", or "of the father", or "of the stars". We want what is magical, what is out there, what is of the stars. And so our characters should as well."
"If there are people who don't believe in you, don't hang out with them. Wish them well, wish them peace, and move on."

Wow, I thought this would've died after the question was answered.

And if anyone cares: the staff at the theatre was pretty useless in regards to getting my note & Playbill back there. I was finally directed to the house manager, who took the note & Playbill and said he'd pass it on to the right person. Of course after the show, nobody knew anything, so I gave up. I just hope she at least got & read my note, and appreciated my kind words.
