Posted: 4/27/10 at 8:56pmMy thoughts. First, I think ER, assuming it's nominated, is going to be up against two strong contenders, Fela! (ugh!) and American Idiot (yea!). Second, without having seen the show (which I intend to correct soon), it would appear that the effectiveness of ER is dependent upon the talents of Scott (i.e., when she leaves, the show dies). I'm reasonably confident that it will garner a Tony nomination and a possible win for Scott, but I see no great afterlife for the show, unless Scott wants to pull a Hal Holbrook and play the role for the rest of her life, which I'm inclined to doubt. Just my thoughts.
