Gareth Gates In 'CCCCCCinderella'

Wimbledon have just announced the star names for this years panto, Gareth Gates, Alistair McGowan and Joanna Paige.

SADM2 - I can understand it from the others but since you, I and Gareth are all ex-Bradfordians surely a little territorial loyalty is called for here?

(and ofcourse I'm quietly relieved that he's not been cast as Henrik in A Little Nunn Chocolate)

I feel sorry for my friends. They live in the same apartment complex as Gates, so get a lot of annoying children trying to break into the carpark.

I can't even BEGIN to comment on the maturity of this thread. Probably because there wasn't any before Scrippsy showed up...

I like Gareth. I saw him in the Stiles and Drewe Gala a couple of months ago and he was really good. In fact, the people next to me were quite surprised by how good he was, lol. Interestingly enough playing a part from a variation on Cinderella that time (which I hope to see for real sometime).

I think he'll be good in this, certainly the singing will be a breeze, but I will be interested to see how they address the dialogue. I know his speech is much better than it used to be, but stammering is one of those things that is variable, so he can have good days and bad days, especially if tired and panto is tiring. I'm sure they'll have thought about it and will work around it if need be.
