Posted: 8/10/03 at 10:10pmHey everyone. I don't know whats going on in terms of Nathan Lane and Matthew Broderick, but does anyone know when Gary Beach is coming back from L.A? Or is he? The Producers just seems a little bit more empty without his presence

I believe that CaTheatreGirl is correct about Gary Beach originally planning to return to The Producers Broadway in late September.
Personally, for selfish reasons I would like Gary to stay in Los Angeles for the rest of this year since I plan to see The Producers L.A. at least 2-3 more times. The current chemistry among the LA cast is terrific and of course Gary's outstanding performance has alot to do with this. As Broadway now knows, Gary Beach is a tough act to follow!

Posted: 8/11/03 at 2:27pmHere's an idea! Have Gary Beach return to The Producers on Broadway on December 31st, the same night as Nathan and Matthew. Wow! Now wouldn't that be a New Year's trifecta for The Great White Way!

Posted: 8/11/03 at 8:43pmGotta have Gary back in New York. I miss him. Sorry! It'd be great to have all of the original cast back for a while! Old home week! Brad could return as Franz and fill in for Nathan if he can't handle eight shows a week. Get Roger back. Cady -- well, she just left. I can't imagine her wanting to return so soon unless she wants to work with her favorite Leo again. Dream on I tell myself, but no harm done dreaming!

I found this old thread about Gary, I hope that the best thing to do is to add to it as opposed to starting a brand new one. who knows? But here goes?
*I adore Gary Beach. I think that he is brilliant in THE PRODUCERS and adored his Lumiere in B&B. His comic sensibilities are world class and his singing voice is fantastic. Saw him on QAF and found hin equally as appealing.
Who sort of knows Gary's back story? What are his other major credits? Does he have any other projects on the horizon? I can't wait to see him in a star vehicle.

Gary is the best and I have heard he will star in La Cage.
He would be perfect. The man is very talented and very nice.
Hope he stays in NYC.
