I was listening to Q and had to laugh at the Gary Coleman role - has he ever made a public comment about how he feels about being a leading man on Broadway without even being there?!

I sing for myself. I sing when I want, whenever I want to, just for me. I sing for my own pleasure. Do you understand that?

They actually contacted him about it before they started doing the show if I remember right. They even offered to let him star as himself. He saw the show and loved it. He didn't accept the role but was there on opening night.

My avatar is a reminder to myself. I need lots of reminders...

Gary Coleman was the spokesperson for UGO Networks.
He has an illness and that is probably why he declined.
I met Gary a few times.

I remember this discussion about a month ago. Someone gave a link to the message boards on the Ave Q site. Someone had asked the same question and the writers replied with an answer.
