Posted: 3/16/05 at 11:16pmIt's only rumored so far (nothing has been officially announced, as far as I know), but there are signs pointing to it happening.

It's not a rumor! They did auditions for chorus members yesterday in Chicago and Kristoffer Cusick has already been cast as Fiyero. And the stage manager told us about it as well.
I think that clarifys if it's a rumor

There's an item in the Chicago Sun-Times today on the 2005-2006 "Broadway in Chicago" series, and it prominently features The Woman in White, Doctor Doolittle(!), Little Women and Tuesdays with Morrie with Hal Linden (!!). There's no mention of a sit-down Wicked but of the shows listed, none of them are going up at the Oriental so I think it's safe to say the sit-down Wicked will go up there.

Posted: 7/11/05 at 8:59amI saw Wicked the last week of June and I have to say I was simply blown away! She was INCREDIBLE. I do not say this lightly. I have seen Idina three times and Shoshana once, and Ana was not even close to a let down. I was also quite thrilled that she could actually hit her notes and stay in tune.. unlike Idina. Don't kill me, Idina brings an energy, chemistry, and obvious devotion to the show that proves why she got the role, but the vocals killed me all three times.. Just to go tad off topic, I do have to say that whoever played Glinda (I don't have my playbill right next to me..) came up quite short, though she wasn't awful.. just in comparison. Fiyero was the other one I loved. I can't count the number of people I've seen try to play that role and I've only really liked this guy and the original. So anyway, to anyone who believes that Ana got the role based on anything but talent, or that she shouldn’t be there, save your judgments. Ana is a keeper!
