They traded a Gavin for a Gavin.
This is off his blog:
i wasn't really permitted to talk about it up to this point, although i think most of my friends and family (and my family friends) knew...but i moved to LONDON. i am actually there now...
i shall be bert in MARY POPPINS over here for just about the next year. it is all a whirlwind but totally exciting. without a doubt, the biggest challenge of my career so far, and i am really happy to be getting to dig in and go for it. i have met the cast today and they are all delightful. the theatre is amazing, the crew (that i have met so far) all seem great.
as you can imagine, it is a bit daunting to be the only one going into a big part in a big show, but, it is a great life opportunity to be in another country with a whole new batch of people...THAT I DON'T KNOW. i miss my friends already, but...they will be with me for life so...here we go.
thanks for all the support, everyone out there reading. i'll give you LONDON updates as often as i can.
peace out everybody!

I was hoping to see Gavin again on the cruise next week. But, according to his myspace site, he is already in London rehearsing, so I'm guessing he won't be coming back for the cruise. That'll be disappointing if he can't make it, but a great break for him.
Why didn't they keep the Gavins where they are? And have Gavin Creel open up as Bert on Broadway? Don't get me wrong, I think it's an amazing opportunity for him and am happy for him...I'm just curious. Was bringing Gavin Lee here part of some deal?
I thought the show was poop in London. Lee was the only reason to see the show, in my opinion. I love Creel, but I can't imagine him playing the role as well as Lee. I guess we shall see...
Oh I'm so stupid...I realized my answer was a few posts above me. Did they really trade Gavin for Gavin? Why though?

I really dont get it, either, millie. I would think it would just be easier (with the Actor's Union and all) to just have Creel open the show, but whatever. Assuming he isn't awful, I'd assume he'll replace Lee when he's finished.

What does that have to do with anything?
And no I think he has a gf.
Why does it matter whether he is or not? It has nothing to do with his job as a musical performer!
Why would anyone respond to a post from someone who, apparently, is emotionally and mentally disturbed? Think about it. This person joined today, to post that.
What a moron. Now that we know what she looks like, let's throw stuff at her on the street.
