Geoffrey Rush in currently playing 'Man In Chair' in the current Melbourne Theatre Company production of THE DROWSY CHAPERONE. Thought this maybe of interest.

It is only scheduled (part of a subscription season)to run 5 weeks and is near to sell-out.Mama I hope you are joking when referring to Rhonda Burchmore.

She was fab in a few shows in London back in the 80s/ early 90s- 'Stop The World I Want To Get Off' with Anthony Newly that flopped after 4 weeks! and 'Hot Shoe Shuffle', again a short lived production that was filmed live for TV. Her cabaret show was just awful tho.

She did SUGAR BABIES in London too. She is playing the Chaperone in this. Yikes.

I don't get the deal with Rhonda Burchmore - the general public seems to clamour over everything she does, but I've never really got it.

In other news, I've got tickets for the final matinee of Chaperone, which will mark the end of my first week at uni in Melbourne :)

Nope, I left just before Xmas. I'm in Sydney at the moment, and start at the VCA in three weeks.

It was really hard to leave the UK, but I'm already looking at doing many of my production placements back in London over the next three years. And then come June 2012, I'm packing up my life and moving back for good :)
