"It wasn't a repeat, last time he was on with Scarlet Johanseen, talked a lot about Dear Frankie and Grenich, showed a clip from Phantom, and talked about his make-up for the character. This time is different. "
Actually, last night's appearance was GB's THIRD in four months. He was on Leno in March promoting Dear Frankie. The January appearance, described in the quote, was supposed to promote Phantom, but they did talk briefly about Dear Frankie as well.
ChristineDaae, Dear Frankie has been out in the U.S. in limited release since March 4. It just opened today in 100 more theatres around the U.S.

Unfortunately, Dear Frankie seemed to get caught up in whatever problems Miramax has been having over the last year. They held up the release of the film, and then gave it very limited release. It was the same in the U.K. It was out for a couple of weeks then gone. I was able to see it only because it happened to be playing in a small movie theatre in Croydon, a London suburb, for one day while I was in London for the weekend.
The dvd is availble for pre-order from Amazon.com -- it comes out in the U.S. in July.

Posted: 4/16/05 at 1:24amHehehe. Too bad I missed the Dear Frankie appearance. I saw Dear Frankie in a very small theatre in DC that only shows foreign, documetnaries and independent movies, I'm glad I got to.

I think if you go to gb.net, you'll find links to where they have the March appearance online.
As for Dear Frankie... I'm very glad I saw it as well -- I was lucky it happened to be playing during a time when I happened to be in London. It's annoying that really good films such as this one get treated so poorly. I hope whoever is distributing "The Game of Their Lives" gets it out to more theatres.
I saw that Leno interview finally... GB had me practically rolling on the floor laughing with his kilt stories!

I think he is talented guy as well. But like a lot of performers he haven't gotten the role that is really right for him.
