Saw it twice in Seattle last week. The show will be as big, if not bigger than "the Producers" Once the reviews come out, On the 27th, ticket sales are going to go through the roof. So buy that special someone tickets to Young Frankenstein for Christmas, but order them now, or you will be holding tickets for a show that you won't be able to see for about a year. Sutton Foster is so good. You want to see more od Fred Applegates Blind Man, and thank you to his daughter who took a photo of my family with him outside of the Paramount Theater in Seattle.

With the word of mouth on this board and the ATC board, I think ticket sales already are happening like crazy. I keep hearing that this is going to be THE ticket of the fall/winter season. Anybody who's boycotting this show because of Mel Brooks....suck it up and buy a ticket in the balcony atleast!
OK, it will be a hit but will people pay 375.00 and 475.00 for premier and premium tickets?

I think the premium tickets will sell for at least the first few months of the run. Why let the middle man ticket brokers make all the money for those seats when the producers of the show can take those profits directly. I suspect those prices will drop if the reviews aren't stellar and the show has been running for a while. I'm curious...is this a package...does include signed playbills or something?
Wicked is still managing broker prices at around $250-$300 for good seats and Wicked's been around for a long time. Oh...and I believe the initial reviews weren't all favorable. Reviews may kill some shows, but in the end, if it's a crowd pleaser (and I think Young Frankenstein will fit this category easily), ticket sales will determine the success of the show. Just look at Mamma Mia.
I don't want to start a separate thread as there are a million YF ones already, but I just saw the broadway.com photos

AND I'M SO EXCITED!!!!!!!!!!!
Is Row A of the Orchestra good? More specifically seats 105 and 106?

You can look up the seating chart for the theater. You are in for a treat. The show was so good.
Mike, at most row A is 4th row. How could it NOT be good?!?!?

Has anyone sat in the front balcony at the Hilton? I know it's an enormous theater. I've sat in balcony in smaller houses, and I found myself looking at the tops of their heads and couldn't even see their faces. I hope that this is not the case at the Hilton, since I have row A balcony seats.
Row A of the Balcony overhangs Row A of the Mezzanine (which, in turn) overhangs Row T of the Orchestra. In reality, you'll be seated over the 23rd row of the Orchestra at the Hilton. The Hilton has 29 rows in the Orch. alone. I'm sure your view will be enjoyable all things considered. Hey, you HAVE TICKETS to the HOTTEST TICKET IN NEW YORK!
I'm super excited for this!!
Do you guys think they will ever have any discounts for this on BroadwayBox or something? Or does Mel Brooks just not do that? Thanks!

Not to nit pick too much but I think that Row A of the Balcony overhangs Row B of the Mezzanine (Dress Circle) (which, in turn) overhangs Row T of the Orchestra.

I don't really care if I'm toward the back. I just want to be able to see the whole stage and not from an extreme overhead angle.
Overall, I'm really excited to see the show. I remember seeing The Producers when it first came out. The original cast really made it worth it. I'm not really a Mel Brooks fan, but I really love Young Frankenstein. I can't wait to see how it has been adapted to the stage.
All of these amazing reviews are making my Mel Brooks boycott very hard, and now my theatre teacher/director wants to take our class to see it, and i don't know what to do. It's hard to stand up for what you believe in.

Who actually buys premium tickets?
A lot of tourists will buy them. My friend is a concierge in NYC and he sells them all the time. People with money don't care what they have to pay, as long as they see "The" show that is hot.
Hell, I'm one of those folks who bought PREMIER seats.
I'm just a kid with some money to spend, who is a HUUUUGE Brooks fan. The End. lol
