Getting Picked for Spelling Bee...

Hi, all. I tried searching the boards because I know this has been discussed a zillion times, but I can't find it!

Can you tell me what time I should get to the show in order to see about being picked? I know the chances are one in a million, but at least there's that one chance. :)

Any other tidbits you can share are greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

like 30 before the show, when they open the doors
thats when i got there
um...there are a bunch of other SPELLING BEE fanatics that could tell you more

Look harder- I don't mean to be rude, but really. There are a lot of threads on this. Get there early. Say you haven't seen the show before. Wear sweatpants. Wear jeans. Be bald. Wear a fuzzy scarf. Say you won your school spelling bee in elementary school.

i said i went to my state spelling bee, and they STILL didnt let me in :P

I told them I won my geography bee in 6th grade, which was true, and I didn't get in. But this was like the third time I tried getting in. They probobly have my name logged on a computer somewhere.

I lied through my teeth. I felt like I was stabbing myself by saying I was completely oblivious to the world of theatre. Gah.

But I got there at 7:00 (before an 8:00 show), and nobody was there. When they let us in to the lobby at around 7:30, it was packed, so it didn't really help me much. Still, I was the first one down the escalator, and also the first one they approached. So hmm...

haha- I also said I didn't know anything about the show when I was asked. I claimed I was "going to see Wicked, but it was sold out, and this was right next door." haha- ok. That was a little rude, but still. I got in.
