re: Getting sick in the theater

Isn't there a rumor about Barbara Harris going crazy during a performance of The Apple Tree?

re: Getting sick in the theater

I was seeing Phantom years ago at the Pantages in Los Angeles. We had wonderful seats, given to us, third row center. In walks a very elegant and rich looking mother, father, and little boy. Only, elegant mother was quite drunk and spent half the show trying to make out and practically have sex with elegant father, and the other half of the show leaning forward in her seat while SINGING ALONG with the Phantom score. Having a drunk woman sing VERY POORLY in your ear while watching a show is quite distracting, to say the least!

Drunk is sometimes just as bad as getting sick. I saw Grease at the Warner Theater in DC, and these 3 woman next to my dad and me were completely trashed. They were just loud and obnoxious during the first act, but they bought more drinks during intermission. They ended up dancing in the aisles, cackling hysterically and just being really stupid. The worst part is that the Warner Theater is so small, the actors on stage could see them and were obviously distracted by it as well.

I went to see The Nutcracker when I was 5 right after I got over the chicken pox. I wasn't contageous anymore, but I still had the marks from the chicken pox on my face and arms. Afterwards, the cast was out in the lobby and when I went over to Clara, she acted like I was diseased or something and wouldn't sign my program. re: Getting sick in the theater

re: Getting sick in the theater

I got two-fers for the Zorba revival. Towards the end of Act One, I started to feel nauseous. I had to get up, move past all of the people and just barely made it to the bathroom in time to puke. We had to leave. I was sick for two days with a nasty stomach virus. I never did see the full show.
