I went to see this play last Sunday at Sophia?s Club Downstairs at the Edison Hotel, NYC. The venue was absolutely filthy. The "folding" chairs were stained and dirty. The sound system was so loud, it overpowered the singing.. It wasn?t funny at all, and often times crude and distasteful and I am far from being a prude!! If you don't get there early you get awful seats where your view is obstructed. The acting is very amateurish. I have seen better talent at the local high school musicals. The party of five I was with couldn?t even bear to go back after intermission. We all felt the same way, and our ages range from 43 ? 71 years of age!! Don?t Waste Your Money!!!

Posted: 7/28/09 at 1:29amThe show you are talking about is "Girls Night: The Musical". The one here in Denver is called "Girls Only-The Secret Comedy of Women". My mistake. But the show in NYC, from what I see, is not called Girl's Night Out.

Posted: 7/28/09 at 6:10pmThe book is dreadful, maudlin at times and senseless for the rest of it. Acting? Not good at all. I liked the music, the women had decent voices. The shill that tries to get everyone to go to the bar and drink was very loud and pushy and the drunks behind me were obnoxious. It wasn't worth the money.
