I am so happy for Derrick. I saw him in Houston, and thought that he was amazing. I saw David Ayers and thought that he was just okay. Derrick was amazing and I wish him the best of luck on Broadway.

I've never seen him in this role...but I worked with him a million years ago at Busch Gardens and love, love, love him as a person. So...you go with your bad self Derrick Williams!!!!

I saw Derrick in SF as my first time seeing WICKED... he was good... I can't really find any weakness to point out... but he just didn't have the IT factor like everyone else. For example: Eden and Kendra were just SO incredibly amazing and blew me away... and while Derrick was good, he didn't really blow me away or leave me with any "ooos" or "aaaws". However, 2 friends of mine (both female) almost died seeing him on stage... they now love him like no other... but a lot of that is just because they think he is amazingly good looking (something I, being straight, cannot relate to!)
As for the chemistry w/Eden... okay fine... I will say that there ALAYM was SOOOOOOOOoo incredible! Of course Eden was outstanding but that was the one part w/Derrick where I was blown away... they were just amazing together. So definitely he and Eden will be awesome in NY!

And I will "amen" everything said about him being such an awesome person... at the stage door I had like a 5 minute conversation with him... extremely kind and great to talk to!

So... while I'm not ecstatic about him going to NY (Im seeing the show again in March)... I guess it will be fine! ....not incredible through and through.... but fine.

and... let me throw in a "YYYEEEEESSSSS!!!!! EDEN'S BACK!!!!!!!"

I was fortunate enough to see both Derrick and Eden in San Fran. in august. I though Eden did an amazing job. Derrick did very well also. He seemed to have mor chemistry with Eden than he did in the scenes with Kendra. I think the two work well together. And I am happy fo them both!

I was so disappointed with the touring cast, especially Williams. Aaron Neville is NOT Fiyero.

I've never actually seen Derrick perform, so I have nothing to say good or bad. I wish him all the best on Broadway though. I'm sure he'll do great. One last thing to add, Chicago's Fiyero (My all time favorite Fiyero...also the only one I've seen live. lol) is Kristoffer Cusick. He's a complete sweetheart.
