Godspell Audition Song

I'm going to be auditioning for a production of Godspell soon, and I really want to get the "Turn Back, O Man" solo. However, I don't think we can sing songs from the show. Does anyone know any songs that are similar in style/attitude to that song?

There are many vampy, vaudeville, burlesque style songs that will work for this. If you want to stick in the Schwartz canon look at "Spread a Little Sunshine."

To go more classic I would recommend "Naughty Baby" (Crazy for You) or "Buddy Beware" (Anything Goes).

For a more modern piece look at "Special" (Avenue Q).
