Godspell Love Thread

I just love "Godspell"! I can't help it. Love love love it. It's so beautiful and powerful. Anybody else think so?

I hate the script, but the music is amazing and infectious. So i'm half-on.

Love Godspell! I directed and acted in it in high school and was obsessed with it for a time. I tracked down all the members of the original and film casts and made friends with a couple of them. Don't worry, I'm not a stalker :)

I'm playing Jesus in a production of it right now. I'm sort of with you bigrab, at first I didn't like any of the script, but loved the songs. Eventually, a lot of the parables in the script grew on me and I really love the whole thing now.

I have to say that I agree with bigrab. I didn't like the script at all(but that could be because of the production that I saw) but LOVED most of the songs from it. I have the recording with Barrett Foa as Jesus, and have to say that I have listened to Its All For the Best dozens of times...
