I am a fan of Mr Foa, so I just got the Godspell CD ( a burned copy) so I don't know what song's he's in..I know he's Jesus, but could someone tell me what songs he sings solos in?
thanks! I can't differentiate between his voice and whoever sings We Beseech Thee. :o

Don't you know what his voice sounds like?
He sings "Prepare Ye The Way Of The Lord." After listening to him sing that, it's pretty hard not to be able to distinguish his voice from the rest of the cast. He's the most "classic musical theatre" sounding of everyone. Shoshana Bean is also on the recording singing "Bless The Lord."

No he doesn't sing "Prepare Ye". He sings "God Save the People", "All for the Best", "Alas for You", and "Beautiful City".
Prepare Ye is sung by Will Erat
BARRETT!!
:sigh: Blair was right...expect for Prepare Ye...Barrett sings all those songs.
Thanks everyone.
And no, I don't know what his voice sounds like..sad that I don't...but after this CD I will.
I saw him in Ave Q, but he was just the ensemble, so I never got to hear him sing.
Thanks again.

Buy the CD
give the actors of the show their dues
Well, I bought it for her for her as a present, and then she burned me a copy because I didnt realize Barrett was in it and she knows I'm a fan of his.
So technically, I did lol.
I'm sorry, I find burnt OBCR's extremely disrespectful
The actors already get paid very low expenses, and you're not even considering the band, the producers, the sound mixers, the studio...
but do they really get paid for each CD that is sold? Isn't something like that reserved for solo artists getting a chunk of each CD sale? I could be wrong ... you're telling me every actor and musician gets a few cents for each CD sale??? Updated On: 1/22/05 at 06:06 PM
I don't know how it works for off-broadway recordings but I believe that's how it's done for broadway
regardless, I find it disrespectful
I only brought up the fact that it was burned so people wouldnt tell me "go look in the booklet for what songs Barrett is in" because I didnt get one.
I think the actors would be splitting pennies to equally separate their profits on the 1 CD.
Besides, I'm not sure about Broadway recordings specifically, but I think that actors only get a percentage of profits from the merchandise if it's written into their contracts (usually, only successful actors get this option). They probably just got a lump sum for being on the recording and don't get any moeny from the sales.
