Sweeney Todd, no question about it. This is a production that wil lbe talked about for years, and anyone who has the chance to see it, should.
My other recommendation is Piazza, because it's a classy, beautiful show.
If you're just looking for laughs and a good time, Spelling Bee, Avenue Q, or Spamalot.

To back up what someone else said, don't see anything that will tour well. Spelling Bee and Todd will tour quite well as neither production is that big. However, as it apears at the Beaumont, Piazza is one of the most perfect productions I have ever seen. The current cast is quite wonderful. Woman in White is an excellent 2nd choice.
Just my opinion, I may be wrong. Read others and think about it as Broadway is expensive.

Posted: 1/31/06 at 11:53amI agree with Sweeney. I saw it knowing only the most-basic plotline (man kills people, makes into pies) and I LOVED it. I definitely agree with everyone's suggestions to see this production specifically, because it's not going to be around as long as many of the other choices you had listed.
