Gold Derby's Pundit Tony Predictions

Gold Derby posted expert pundits' predictions of who will win the Tony awards today. There's a lot of surprises, at least for me.

Notable:
All of them think Billy will win Best Score
None predict Sieber for Best Featured Actor in a Musical
The only thing that has the majority for N2N is Actress
Billy sweeps design awards except for costume

If their predictions are correct, then it looks to be a pretty boring Tonys, with Billy winning 11 awards.

Em, I had the same confusion, the names of the critics are listed next to who they think is going to win.
It all looks very cut and dry save for the Featured Actress in a Musical category. I can't believe Jbara is expected to win, I thought his role wasn't really Tony-worthy, Will Swenson should take the award home.

Jbara has a lot going for him. I personally thought that he was outstanding (so is Swenson), but sometimes that has little to do with who they give the Tony to. He's so beloved in the community and this is their first opportunity to give him something. Many will feel like he's overdue (whereas Swenson and Sieber will be back eventually). It doesn't hurt that Jbara's in the most nominated show at the Tonys. Those reasons make him the odds-on favorite.

Funny, one of them picked N2N for best book but that same pundit picked BE for score. Next to Normal's score is way stronger than its book.

A little swash, a bit of buckle - you'll love it more than bread.
