Golda's Balcony

Saw Golda's Balcony today. As a Christian I was really insulted by Tovah Feldshuh sarcastic remark at the end of the play. It went something like - Want to thank ????? the 20 Christians in the theatre today. She was not thanking us at all - rather insulting us.

I was so angry at the way it was said that I stood up in the audience and loudy said "YOUR WELCOME".

Why would the star of the show want to insult any of the customers that have attended the show.

Anyone have any ideas?

When I saw "Golda's Balcony" Tovah never said anything of the kind. The audience was very mixed. Why don't you email her. She's a very nice person and I think you should ask her about this.

Tovah knows the demographic of the audience seeing this show. I truly feel she was complimenting the Christians who took the time to see the show. The subject matter might not draw in non Jewish people and she was thanking them for coming. I wish everyone would see her performance as it is spectacular. Updated On: 3/15/04 at 10:33 PM
