I second Citizen M. Rates vary, but the rooms are cool (cruise ship in the city-type vibe) and the rooftop bar is great (and open only to hotel guests). The Michelangelo sometimes has great weekend rates. I also love the Algonquin, which is more of a splurge but can also have good weekend rates. Plus, for a theatre buff, it's ground zero.

Just remembering you've had an "and" When you're back to "or" Makes the "or" mean more than it did before

I stayed at the Ameritania last trip, it was probably the best out of the ones I have stayed apart from the more expensive ones in Chelsea..

It was very reasonably priced, the rooms were clean and a decent size, the staff were great and the location was excellent!

I always book through Expedia because I get flights as well, but here's their website anyways x

I stayed at The Pod on 42nd street last time I stayed in the city. My favorite place to stay is in Long Island City at the LIC Hotel. Super nice, clean and fairly cheap.
