I saw the preview last night and enjoyed every minute of it. The cast consists of 5 women (4 of them telling their individual
stories) and all of them singing songs that vary from poignant to up-tempo country. The actors are unique and wonderful (Lauren Kennedy, Sally Mayes, Teri Ralston, Gina Stewart, and Liza Vann) every one can sell a song!
There was a tiny spot in the middle of the show that I thought had too much dialogue, but just as I was beginning to think that, they switched back into the music.
There is an enthusiastic, talented band behind them that makes it all flow.
I think this is a toe-tapper -- good for a lot of laughs, good country music and good acting. I'd see it again in a flash!

I was there this past Wednesday and I couldn't disagree more. Absolutely terrible from start to finish. The performances were not good, save one, and the music was boring and repetitive. I'll be curious to see what the critics think.

Does Teri Ralston sing anything in soprano? If so, how does she sound? She was amazing in the original cast of Company, so I am wondering.

Her songs were basically all alto and tenor. She was, in my opinion, the best of the vocalists.

I hate to sound like a douche, but there's just something about Lauren that bugs the hell out of me.

saw the show this weekend and i gotta tell ya...lauren rocked, as did sally mayes, teri ralston and the other ladies. its a very simple music revue with monologues tying it together (in an intimate 60 seat space), but it doesn't pretend to be anything more--and the audience really had a great time the night i was there. who knows--perhaps it may have been shaky in previews but it really has settled in...and, to be honest, name me one current Broadway show that has the 1-2-3 female punch of sally mayes, lauren kennedy and teri ralston. there ain't none...
