I'm currently in need of a dramatic contemporary monologue, I've looked everywhere and have read so many I just can't find that one that I feel suites me best. Anyone have any options or suggestions? I'm a senior in high school. I wanna try to stay away from overdone mainstream ones if possible.
I'm also in need of a comedic contemporary but I'm more concerned about having a dramatic one.

Finding monologues is a very personal thing. It's hard to suggest monologues, because we don't know you, your type, your strengths and weaknesses, ect.

Some use coaches for preparing for college auditions, MTCA is amazing if you can afford it.

But the main thing to do is go read as many plays as you can. Go to the library, and open a play, see if it has someone your type and age range. What you can also do is call the Drama Book Shop in NYC and tell them your info and they can suggest some plays with monologues that may suit you.

Last year, some of my friends who are girls used dramatic monologues from
Good Boys and True by Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa
Your Place or Mine by Le Wilhelm
5 Women Wearing the Same Dress
and The Lonely Planet

Hope that helped.
