It is a very dangerous this for an actor to express his/her controversial opinons. The audience stops seeing the character they are trying to create an only sees the actor.
I don't agree with Heaton on her views. In fact, her work is something that could prevent a loved one of mine from much needed medical options. I have to take what she does personally. So I don't support her or any of her artistic endeavors.
I wish I was above all of that, but I'm not. I'm human. And with so many wonderful performers out there who do suppport the causes and efforts I do, I don't feel I'm missing much.
Good luck to her, but she is not getting my entertainment money or time.

"I find it very courageous of her to risk her popularity in order to stand up for something she is passionate about."
That would be true if her negativity toward stem-cell research was the one thing that I didn't agree with. Unfortunately, it's the tip of a very sharp sword, one that is swung against the Gay community, the intelligencia, blacks, hispanics... The conservative movement is no friend of Broadway. They prefer Branson where "there ain't no queers and we can unnerstan the words." (That's a direct quote).
If you get into bed with people I don't like, don't expect to be invited into my living room with any enthusiasm.

What a bitter bunch of queens and wannabes you are.
You all need to get a life.
Break a leg Pat.
