Posted: 4/9/06 at 10:45amWhat a great show and cast! Cynthia Nixon & Tyne Daly both deserve to win Tony Awards; I wonder how this early closing will affect their chances. Rarely to performers win who are no longer performing the role. Nevertheless, I met them both when I was in New York, had photos taken, had my windowcard signed, and have great memories of that evening.

April 9th indeed.
Cynthia has a good shot I feel, though, I think Jayne Houdyshell has Featured Actress all sewn up...

A Wonderful Happy 40th Birthday to Cynthia Nixon and a Big Congratulations to the whole cast in Rabbit Hole!!!
It was a great run and an amazing play!
I feel so lucky to have seen it and even luckier to have been able to meet John Slattery. He is an incredible actor and has been long overdue for some great recognition for his amazing work!!
I wish everyone connected with the show, The Best!

I did get to see it one last time. Last night actually...even better now that it was in previews. This is a play that deserved all the praise it got, imo.
The cast is/was sooo pitch perfect. Cythina Nixon really does deserve a Tony for the role, but it is TYNE DALY, not Jane Houdyshell who SHOULD, if there is any justice in this world, walk away with the Featured Actress Tony. DALY gave THE performance in this play, layered with more than I could even begin to go into.
I honestly think this will be a rare year where both of these women are remembered for their fantastic performances, eventhough their show will be closed come June. They were just THAT good...and quite possibly, even the play itself.
Bravo RABBIT HOLE! You will be missed.

Posted: 4/9/06 at 7:31pmDid you get to meet Ms. Daly, Ms. Nixon & Ms. Lupone. I got to see their shows and meet all three women who posed for photos WITH ME and signed my windowcards. Very kind women with their time. You have good taste!

Tyne & Cynthia (actually the whole cast) were very gracious people. It always pissed me off that hoards were waiting for Matthew and Nathan in that mis-cast mess at the Brooks-Atkinson, and only a handful waited for the RH cast, anytime I was walking by 47th street at the end of the shows. Ms. Daly & Ms. Nixon were class acts and both deserved honors for not only their remarkable performances, but their true profesionalism.
I do agree with those who wanted this play to live on Broadway longer - I think it could of, had their been a theatre open.

Posted: 4/9/06 at 8:49pmCan't believe this is closing. Just got back from my nine day trip to NYC. Rabbit Hole was second show I saw and I loved it. I cried through most of it as did other people around me. Having lost a child to an accident myself this play was absolutely right on with all the feelings that a family goes through after a tragedy like that and they did it with a lot of humor also. I also met Cynthia Nixon and Tyne Daly afterward and had them sign the recipe book that I bought at the show. Tyne Daly commented on how nice it was to be back in front of a live audience. She was very friendly. Glad I got to see it!

The play itself was a great story.
Add a wonderful cast and you've got a magical/moving evening.
Which is exactly what it was.
