I thought she was leaving on 3rd July too, but something must have happened. Scandal! But I'm so pleased for Shannon - I saw her in the show and thought she was an amazing performer, and will definitely be going to see it again for her performance. Go Shannon!

Bruce is being replaced by "tour Edna" John Pinette, a hefty comic best known for his routine about being shooed out of an all-you-can-eat Chinese buffet by the proprietor saying "You go now!"
It's odd for a comic to have a "Greatest hit" but Pinette is so well-known for this routine that I've seen him billed as "John 'You Go Now!' Pinette." I will bet money his Playbill bio will contain those three words.

I still say they need to get John Goodman in there...
Well, I'm glad he got away with it.

John Goodman would be great and i know it would never happen but dame edna aka Barry Humphries would be great in the role. One can dream! oh and yay Shannon. I saw her a a few monthes ago and she was great.
"At the opening night party, they had clowns on stilts, jugglers, a chocolate fountain, popcorn, hot dogs. [My son] looked at me like I had been holding back. Like, 'This is what you do?' I had to tell him, 'No, no, darling. Opening nights don't usually look like this.' It's usually a dark bar with a bottle of vodka." ?Chitty Chitty Bang Bang's Jan Maxwell

She got fired for not showing up. So I guess it is on bad terms.

That can't be for real - she got fired?
Question - Why dont them move up KS from the tour? She is SOO great in the role! Her enthusiasm blew the theatre down in Mpls last year.
Also, JOHN GOODMAN... Someone from Hairspray, pay the man what he needs, he would be FANTASMAGORICAL!!!

Have they cast for Vegas or the movie yet? Anyone know anyone that made it through in the recent callbacks? Who's Shannon's understudy?

Carly is leaving due to curable vocal reasons strongly reccomended by her doctor. It is a rumer that she was fired.
Good luck Carly!

I guess some things have taken their toll on this wonderful girl. It is sad that it has to end for her this way but I hope...as well as a lot of people do...that she takes time for herself and reflects on what she had. so long carly good luck...start taking care of yourself and we will surly see you back on the boards one day

Well, there is a sad example of a young singer blowing her voice out because of poor technique. All you aspiring singers take note. Singing loud is not singing well. Is she a smoker?
PEACE.

If she had a bad vocal technique why and how could she play Tracy for about two years. She is leaving so we shouldn't say what she didn't do, but what she did do, which was originate Tracy on tour, and star in a show on Broadway.
