This evening marks the final performance of the 2012 West End revival of Singin' In The Rain at The Palace Theatre.
Produced by Chichester Festival Theatre and Stage Entertainment, the show is directed by Jonathan Church, designed by Simon Higlett and choreographed by Andrew Wright and opened in Chichester in July 2011 to five star reviews. It repeated the same success when it began performances in the West End on February 4th last year. The 16 month run has been a huge success for all involved and the UK and Ireland tour kicks off this December at The Wales Millennium Centre.
Thank you to all of the cast and crew involved with the show for (in my opinion) what was the best new West End musical production for some time when it opened and for some exciting and enchanting evenings at the theatre.
All credit to Adam Cooper, too, who has been performing the role of Don Lockwood for nearly two years now. Hopefully we'll see some of the celebrated London cast repeat their performances on tour!
Goodnight & thank you, SITR!
