"AIATYING"

Okay...I'm stupid...what does that stand for?

And when I posted this thread..I didn't mean the longest NOTE per se, but the longest run of phrasing a la King of Broadway or Sunday in the Park...

Can anyone thing of stuff like that?

A couple of you hit on it...like BroadwayBaby87..

Definitely Douglas Sills in "Denist"... on the CD its not long, but it was sooo incredible in the performance. I love how he took out the little dentist mirror and started looking at his teeth. I was just memorized!

On the recording, Bernadette holds the note in "Anything You Can Do" for 27 beats, if I remember correctly. I don't know how long this translates to in seconds, or how long she did it live, but thats really long!

Idina is known to hold notes out long lol. And if Douglas Sills holds that note out longer than on the CD, I have to see it! lol (yes, I know that isn't possible, well, legally anyway lol)

I so agree - Sills is one of the most amazing performers I've ever seen! The crowd at the Virginia just ate him up!

i see a bunch of us were at last year's broadway on broadway. i was also going to list brent barrett as Billy for my response. i don't know if he does it that long onstage but he seemed to hold it forever at broadway on broadway. hah...and melanie was just sitting there no doubt trying to convince herself that the applause and screaming was for her.
