Great Comet rear mezz

(sorry for making a whole new thread but it's urgent)

I'm buying rear mezz seats for Great Comet, I saw in photos of the theater that there are railings on the sides of the seats. I want to sit on the end to get more interaction from the actors, but I'm very short and I'm afraid the railings are too high to see over. Can anyone let me know? Also, will I miss a lot compared to sitting in orch/front mezz? Thanks.

Not sure what railings you are talking about, but the view is clear from the rear mezz. The top of the upstage entrance door is cut off by some chandeliers, but you aren't going to miss anything. There isn't a whole lot of audience interaction in the rear mezz, I felt a little disconnected up there, but it's still a lot of fun. Enjoy!

I have seen the show both from the front rownof orchestra and the last row of the rear mezzanine, and the rear mezzanine is a MUCH better view.

Have been debating the same front mezz vs rear mezz options as well. One other option I just noticed,          in the 1st row of front mezz the seats in the centre section are $199. There are seats in the 1st row front mezz, but left/right of centre for $149....this might be an option.  Is there much difference between these areas? Do you miss anything sitting off centre but still 1st row front mezz? Thanks....

If you can go front mezz, I would suggest that over rear mezz. I think it is worth the difference. That being said, I can't imagine you would miss much by going for those cheaper seats off to the side. Updated On: 11/21/16 at 07:32 AM

I just saw the show from the last row of the mezz on Saturday and I was surprised how much of the show I didn't miss. I even got to toast with an ensemble member during the Balaga sequence. Chaplin really managed to stage for every seat

Yesterday I sat in the first row of the mezzanine, in the last seat all the way to audience left. It was definitely a great way to experience the show! There were a handful of times when I couldn't see the main activity on stage because it was a bit too far to the side, but this never lasted more than ten or fifteen seconds. There was one sight gag in Act Two that I missed because of this, but it wasn't anything major and my friend in the next seat could see it (and told me about it later). 

In exchange for this very slightly diminished view, you get to see pretty much the entire cast passing right in front of you (including the two leads!) and get a bit of fun, non-intimidating interaction. I think it's clear that closer to the center is a little better, but only a little.

Sorry to bring back this old thread, but I am considering sitting in the Row G of the rear mezz close to the center. I would have an aisle seat. Does anyone have a view from that row and what to expect interaction wise?

I sat in the very back row of the mezz and I thought I had the best seats in the house. There was some aud interaction, but the best part was being able to grasp the full scope of the staging. I think I saw nearly everything with the exception of what was happening under the mezz in the orchestra aisles and I'm told very little happened down there.
