Wow. Jerry Likes My Corn in in 7|4 time. I don't think Sondheim's gone that far. Maybe a few passages in I Read from Passion. Overall, nice arangements. Can't wait for the book!

*Oh, and I know 7|4 should have a slash, not a line. For some reason, that's not working on my keboard.

Actually, the line is more accurate. Slashes are no good, lol.

I was hoping that this wold be a songbook without the melody in the right hand. It doesn't look like we're that lucky. I'll buy it anyway. Unless I can get my hands on a vocal score. Which means I'm buying the sheet music.

Stephen Schwartz is definitely a fan of 7/4, that's for sure.

Lately, they've been issuing two separate sheet music books: one labeled "Piano/Vocal Selections" and one labeled "Vocal Selections." I know they did this with Wicked and Avenue Q at least. The "Vocal Selections" are the ones with the real accompaniment without the melody in the right hand. Try looking out for that.
