All right, so probably not so likely. But in the episode in Season 2 "Deny Deny Deny," some of the voiceovers really reminded me of See What I Wanna See.
We only see what we wanna see and believe what we want to believe. And it works. We lie to ourselves so much that after a while the lies start to seem like the truth.
Just seems eerily similar to SWIWS. Maybe not. I don't know. Just thought it was interesting.

No one else see the similarities?
I do, but I'm not sure. It's not an uncommon theory for one to have. I catch myself saying the phrase "We see what we wannna see" pretty often.

your parents never told you you have selective hearing? you see/hear what you want to? it's a very common phrase.
however, to defend you a little, grey's has had a lot of popular theatre stars on their program, so they might know mjl... perhaps.

I know that. I'm not talking about the idea, I'm talking about the actual wording. All right, maybe I am crazy, it's ok.

Well I love me some Grey's and lord knows I love my LaChiusa so if they were fans of his work it would earn them a lot of brownie points in my mind but yeah it is a topic that is touched upon a lot. Michael John looked it in a whole different way and who knows maybe you're right...they saw the show and wrote an episode around that theme. It'd be cool if it were true

Eh. I once wrote a monologue (called an OPP -- original prose and poetry) for a speech competition, and I used that exact same concept (it was about a pathological liar). I don't think it's anything to be investigated. :)
