anyone listen on NPR? i did last night and enjoyed it more than i thought i would!

I enjoyed it as well but not having seen the show I didn't really know what to expect. I was imagining a more whimsical score if that makes sense. The story is a kind of fantasy but it also gets pretty dark even in the film so I think Tim Minchin made the more interesting choice with the score. I like it. I'd like to see the show now.

Haven't seen the show yet but I tend to enjoy it more if I'm familiar with the music. The songs didn't catch me at first (few musicals do), but after listening to it a few times, am enjoying it now. Today I am working from home so have it on repeat.

I saw the show last night. The score works very well with the staging. There is plenty of whimsy when set and music come together. This show gets DARK too and it all works. We LOVED every second.

Wow... listening to it at work. I'm loving this score. I had heard "Seeing You" and "If I Had My Time Again" previously, but everything else is new. I hope Minchin gets a score nomination for this. I doubt he'd win against DEH, but based on the competition I think deserves a nomination.
Based on this and the positive reviews I'm still trying to understand why there are so many on this board (including some that haven't seen it) that have some type of personal vendetta against this musical...

Seen the show a few times in previews (and opening night). We've had the NPR stream on repeat here. Some of the songs are very Tim Minchin....which I like.

This is sort of random, but does anyone happen to know who did the voices for the radio announcers on the album (and from what I remember from seeing the show, I think they're using the same recording for performances)? I just think they're very funny, especially the more you listen to the album - "I heard they don't even use degrees in Europe!" "Lot of mysteries out there!"
I've looked through the insert in the CD but didn't see anyone credited for these parts. Just curious!

Someone asked this on Twitter a few days ago and Gerard Canonico revealed he is one of them. I can't get the tweet where he says it to load though.

Thank you! I found it. Also saw that someone mentioned that they thought Tari Kelly did the woman's voice. If so, she did a great job!
